Devin Long, born in 1994 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, grew up in the city of Norwalk, CT. Long attended the internationally-recognized Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore, MD. There, they studied Painting (major) and Sustainability & Social Practice (concentration). In college, they studied and exhibited in Florence, Italy (at SACI and Cartavetra respectively) Autumn of 2017.

Since departing the vibrant city of Baltimore, the artist has worked for a handful of arts non-profit organizations in Connecticut.

Long exhibited twice at an annual international exhibition called The Fl3tch3r Exhibit, which is held in memory of artist Fletcher Dyer and focuses on social and political global issues. In 2024, the group exhibition received national attention, landing an article in HYPERALLERGIC.

Devin Long's current work focuses on their political reality as a disillusioned American. They began to explore symbolism through materials in 2022, upon the Supreme Court's choice to overturn the original Roe v. Wade decision. Since that summer, Devin has intended to spin alt-right symbols back upon them.

Hatred is nonsense and violence is insanity.
