Devin Long was born in 1994 and raised in Norwalk, Connecticut. They attended MICA (Maryland Institute College of Art), majoring in Painting and concentrating in Sustainability & Social Practice, earning a BFA in 2018. Along the way, Long exhibited at City Arts in Baltimore and Cartavetra in Florence, Italy. In 2024, their work titled “Patriot” received national attention, along with other artwork shown in the international group exhibition called “The Fl3tch3r Exhibit”, held annually at The Reece Museum at ETSU. Hyperallergic interviewed Long as part of their highlight of the exhibition and the censorship it faced. Currently, Long is a 2025-26 resident artist at The Norwalk Art Space, located in their hometown.
